Prof W. Wahli’s research group at the Center for Integrative Genomics of the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, has studied an original combination of micronutrients, called Lipid metabolism, which reduced weight gain and body fat, increased energy expenditure and partially prevented atherogenesis in mouse strains especially designed for lipid disorder studies. The results suggest a novel cost-effective combinatorial micronutrient-based strategy for counteracting lipid metabolic dysfunctions in humans.
