The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine in Singapore (LKC Medicine), a joint medical school by Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University, has appointed an eminent group of Visiting Professors to instigate strategic research programs in areas of metabolism, radiochemistry and simulation technologies. Actigenomic’s Co-founder and CSO, Prof Walter Wahli, also Professor of Biology and Founding Director of the Center of Integrative Genomics, University of Lausanne, is among them.
In the frame of a broader Singaporean initiative, Professor Wahli will develop a strategic research program focusing on late pregnancy and early postnatal life. This program will aim at identifying molecular mechanisms and molecules related to obesity and associated metabolic diseases by studying the interplay between nutrients and microbiota.
